How AnyPrint works with the DAXTOP platform
AnyPrint is one product in the DAXTOP ecosystem — the printing layer. DAXTOP’s main platform, at daxtop.com, gives retail, restaurant, hotel, pharmacy, dental, and logistics businesses their operational core: browser-based POS, inventory, supply chain, financial management, and analytics, with the working application at daxtop.app. Because that POS runs in the browser, it needs a native bridge to reach receipt printers — and AnyPrint is that bridge, built by the same team, integrated natively, and released free for everyone. Understanding the connection explains both products.
What native integration means
For a business running on DAXTOP, printing is not a setup project: install AnyPrint on the checkout machine, pair it with your DAXTOP POS through the connect flow, and every receipt prints through it automatically — retail receipts, pharmacy receipts, restaurant checks, and kitchen tickets routed per station (see our kitchen printing guide for how routing works). The pairing uses the same account identity as the rest of the ecosystem: one DAXTOP account signs in across daxtop.com, daxtop.app, and the AnyPrint connect flow, so there is no separate printing account to manage. Platform-side configuration — which printer, which stations, receipt layout — lives in the DAXTOP product settings where the rest of the store is configured.
What stays open to everyone
- The app is the same — the AnyPrint that DAXTOP businesses use is the identical free download anyone gets; there is no gated “full version.”
- The local API is documented — any browser-based POS can integrate through the same localhost API; the API reference in our docs is public.
- No platform lock — using AnyPrint does not require DAXTOP products, and leaving a POS platform never breaks the bridge; it prints for whoever is paired.
- The security model is identical — localhost-only, explicit pairing, origin checks, no receipt storage, regardless of which POS is paired.
Why the pairing matters
For DAXTOP businesses, the pairing removes the classic web-POS weakness — printing — with a first-party answer: the same vendor is responsible for the POS and the bridge, so compatibility is tested as one system and support has no seam to bounce across. For everyone else, DAXTOP maintaining AnyPrint means the free bridge has a real engineering organization behind it: signed builds, automatic updates, and documentation kept current. Getting started takes minutes either way: DAXTOP businesses install the app and approve the pairing from their POS settings; everyone else installs the same app and points their POS at the local API per the docs. Both paths end in the same place — a receipt printing silently, locally, in milliseconds.
